Known in the U.S. as the MATCH GAME , This show is one of those great institutions in British television . Celebrated for its awful tackiness but equally loved by the public for being so terrible. I got to design it twice for the BBC and then twice for ITV. The second set ( for itv ) was a glamorous homage to the classic Hollywood musical set designs..a perfect contradiction to the host ..drag queen lilly savage whos character is trailer park trash ..the clash worked perfectly.
